Supporting the Community
Ray White Forster Tuncurry support a number of local community organisations to bring about positive change in the Great Lakes. We have a strong belief that not only our Ray White team but the wider community has a responsibility to give back as a way of repaying and preserving the Great Lakes area so that future generations can experience this unique part of Australia.
At present, we support the following organisations:
Great Lakes Art Society / Forster Gallery
Forster Gallery is a community-run, visual art gallery and learning space in Forster, NSW. Throughout the year the gallery displays works created by the members of Great Lakes Art Society and collaborates with local community groups to hold specific exhibitions.
Tuncurry-Forster Jockey Club
Built on a legacy of vision and dedication, Tuncurry-Forster Jockey Club has grown into a premier coastal racing venue. From their founding in 2008 to today, their passion for country racing and community remains at the heart of everything they do.
Southern United Football Club
Southern United Football Club are focused on providing local football players an opportunity to develop under the best coaches in the region, in a competitive competition while living and working locally.
Summer 6’s Soccer Senior Team
Great Lakes United Football Club hosts a “Summer 6’s” twilight competition from October to February for small-sided football. This year we are sponsoring the senior women’s team.
Forster Tennis Club
Forster Tennis Club is a fantastic community facility with multiple courts, social areas and helpful staff. Plenty of options for all ages!
Forster Tuncurry Golf Club
The Forster Tuncurry Golf Club is located in two great locations in the Barrington Coast on New South Wales’ Mid North Coast. Tuncurry ranked in the Australian Top 100 public access golf courses and with one of the world’s Top 15 golf museums are great reasons to make Forster Tuncurry your next destination. We were the major sponsor for the first ever PGA tournament at the Tuncurry Golf Course!
Great Lakes Education Fund
Great Lakes Education Fund was established to provide financial assistance and support to local youth to help them achieve their post-high school education, training and vocation aspirations.
Forster Neighbourhood Centre
Every year, as part of our ‘Little Ray of Giving’ program, we raise gifts to donate to a local charity and this year we are working with Forster Neighbourhood Centre, a local not-for-profit community organisation that provides emergency relief & support, information, advice & referral, programs & educations, social activities & support to those who need it, as well as advocacy for local issues.
A Little Ray of Giving
A Little Ray of Giving is Ray White’s very own seasonal charity initiative where offices across Australia and New Zealand partner with philanthropic organisations to collect donations of food, clothes, Christmas gifts and new toys.
Forster Bowling Club
The Forster Bowling Club is a fantastic family friendly venue in the picturesque tourist town of Forster Tuncurry. Along with our great lawn bowls competitions (including the popular barefoot bowls days), and our tenpin bowling complex built in 2002!
Nabiac Show
Enjoy great entertainment like the demolition derby, tug-o-war, amusements for all ages, reptile show, food for all tastes, show jumping and dressage and of course agriculture alive with cattle and poultry at the Wallamba District Agricultural and Horticultural Show (aka the Nabiac Show)!
